You can get information about our support programs in two ways:

Support for Patients with Insurance

Help with Patient Insurance Coverage

Novartis Oncology is dedicated to answering questions about patients' insurance coverage and providing assistance with the reimbursement process for Novartis products.
Patient Assistance NOW Oncology offers patient support including:

  • Insurance verification

    Including verification of patients' medical benefits, evaluation of insurance coverage and clarification of co-pay obligations

  • Assistance with denials/appeals

    Provides assistance to you to work with insurance companies on denied claims or appeals

  • Medicare education

    Assistance with questions about Medicare Part D and the types of prescription drug coverage it provides

  • Alternative funding searches

    Assistance searching for, and referrals to other sources of coverage/funding that could help alleviate or reduce costs for patients

  • Referrals to Novartis support programs

    Novartis Oncology has many product-specific programs to help patients understand their medications and to assist them with their out-of-pocket costs

  • Trial vouchers offering up to one month of free product for eligible patients
  • Therapy-specific support programs that help provide assistance for out-of-pocket costs to pay for medication

Novartis Oncology Patient Assistance Program (PAP)

Novartis Oncology PAP provides assistance to eligible US residents experiencing financial hardship who do not have prescription drug coverage. Click here to download the PAP application form.

  • US resident
  • Meets financial eligibility requirements1
  • No prescription drug coverage (public or private)2

*Financial eligibility requirements are based on the federal poverty level and are based on the specific product needed

1. Exception processes exist for patients who cannot afford their Medicare Part D or B cost share

2. Diagnosis must be medically supported under Novartis internal standards

Partnership for Prescription Assistance (PPA)*

The mission of PPA is to increase awareness of patient assistance programs and boost enrollment of those who are eligible. Through the web site, the Partnership for Prescription Assistance offers a single point of access to more than 475 public and private patient assistance programs, including more than 180 programs offered by pharmaceutical companies.

Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Benefit

Since its inception, Medicare Part D has helped millions of Americans access prescription drug coverage.

Patient Eligibility Requirements:

  • Individuals who have Medicare Part A or Part B

Program Enrollment:

  • Enrollment is on an annual basis
  • Annual open-enrollment period is November 15 through December 31 of each year
  • Some Medicare beneficiaries can enroll in Part D any time during the year. These include:
    • New Medicare beneficiaries
    • Medicare beneficiaries who lose their employer-sponsored retiree coverage
    • Medicare beneficiaries who are approved for financial assistance with Part D costs by the Social Security Administration
