Partnership for Prescription Assistance (PPA)*
The mission of PPA is to increase awareness of patient assistance programs and boost enrollment of those who are eligible. Through the web site, the Partnership for Prescription Assistance offers a single point of access to more than 475 public and private patient assistance programs, including more than 180 programs offered by pharmaceutical companies.

Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Benefit
Since its inception, Medicare Part D has helped millions of Americans access prescription drug coverage.
Patient Eligibility Requirements:
- Individuals who have Medicare Part A or Part B
Program Enrollment:
- Enrollment is on an annual basis
- Annual open-enrollment period is November 15 through December 31 of each year

Some Medicare beneficiaries can enroll in Part D any time during the year. These include:
- New Medicare beneficiaries
- Medicare beneficiaries who lose their employer-sponsored retiree coverage
- Medicare beneficiaries who are approved for financial assistance with Part D costs by the Social Security Administration
